WESF BOARD of Directors NOMINATIONS

 The Washington Elementary School Foundation (WESF) Board of Directors includes a minimum of six (6) up to a maximum of eighteen (18) voting members.  Members serve a two (2) year term.  Familiarity with the programs at Washington Elementary STEAM Magnet (WESM), its history, and its contribution to education in Downtown San Diego is helpful as well as an existing relationship with the WESM and WESF  but no specific experience is required.

All nomination applications are reviewed by the Nominations Task Force with recommendations of new and returning Board seats to be considered and accepted at the Annual Meeting by the standing WESF Board of Directors.

 Once new Board of Directors is sat, opening officer positions will accept nominations at the Annual Meeting.   If an officer position is contested, speeches will be made at the following meeting and n anonymous vote will be held to elect the new officer positions.

The Board may, at its discretion, appoint voting members or officers.
